What's Happening At Agudas

April 1 - 3

We celebrated Sephardic culture heritage with our eventful Sephardic Shabbat Weekend at the beginning of April complete with services featuring Ladino melodies and a homecooked Kiddush lunch made by generous volunteers.

April 6

We held our first-ever Legacy Luncheon honoring Hana Ross and the entire Ross Family for their continuous support of the San Antonio Jewish community and their generous contributions to Agudas. Not only did several members of the illustrious Ross family attend, but we were additionally honored by the presence of several state and local elected officials. The Luncheon was a rousing success, and we can’t thank everyone enough for coordinating this event. We would especially like to extend our gratitude to Vicki Adelstein (VP of Fundraising) for chairing the event.

We had a great turnout at our 2nd Night Community Seder with beautiful songs led by Orit Eylon and an enthusiastic reading of the Haggadah by Rabbi Sharon Cohen. It was so great to share a delicious holiday meal with everyone – our community regulars and new faces alike.

April 19

Sponsored by the Jewish Federation of San Antonio, Agudas Achim hosted An Evening of Jewish Humor, written and narrated by the delightful Linda Kaufman. Our sanctuary was filled with raucous laughter on Tuesday night and we’re always grateful to partner with San Antonio’s plethora of Jewish organizations to bring a joyful event to the greater community.
